How To See Visions

I thought about it this week how many believers always ask me how do I hear God’s voice. I do my best to teach them that there are numerous ways God speaks. God speaks prominently through His word, then through inner impressions from the Holy Spirit, then inspired preaching, vision, dreams, signs etc… (Not necessarily in this order)

Just to discuss the topic of visions I can get into about 5 different dimensions, so I’m not going to explain that today.

I want to simply get our focus on one portion of scripture:

Acts 10: There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of what was called the Italian Regiment, 2 a devout man and one who feared God with all his household, who gave alms generously to the people, and prayed to God always. 3 About the ninth hour of the day he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God coming in and saying to him, “Cornelius!” (In verse 30 it says that Cornelius was also fasting)

What is very interesting about this is that we see this man was:

1.) A person who has not yet inherited salvation

2.) He prayed, gave alms, fasted and feared God (Praying, Fasting, Giving, God-Fearing)

We then see that the results:

2.) He saw clearly in a VISION

3.) He saw clearly in a vision an ANGEL OF GOD COMING IN AND SAYING

Here is a gentile, not yet having salvation, seeing CLEARLY, he is seeing a VISION, and an ANGEL… Many believers can’t even hear God’s voice, but this man could see CLEARLY A VISION AND AN ANGEL!

If an unsaved man can do this because off praying, fasting, giving and fearing God, how much more is this possible for us as believers?

See vision’s today!

In His Service,

Praise God for a simple yet profound teaching of hearing and seeing in the spirit. Thank you and may God bless you and increase your understanding even more, in Jesus Christ name.

Leon please can you explain “unsaved” man. I must be honest I always had the impression that Cornelius was a believer. I am not critical I would only like to understand this from your perspective as these scriptures don’t mention it. Is it because he was only baptized later. Thank you Leon.

Hello Laura, Cornelius was a gentile and in that time he lived there was not yet salvation for the gentiles. Salvation is through faith in Jesus Christ. If we claim that Cornelius was saved, then we begin to open the possibility for salvation to come any other way than Jesus Christ which contradicts our foundational doctrine of belief. Blessings

In the same point The angel in the vision spoke to Cornelius to see Peter . And as Peter was talking the Holy Spirit fell upon them, . I believe some of us need impartation from men like you. To grow and understand more in the angelic ministry. Personally I will request impartaion from you

My sons father passed away 16 years ago and lately I dreamt he was alive living in Ghana. We buried an empty coffin at his funeral. This dream has haunted me for a couple of days now.
I have never been envolved ever since his death. Pastor I have been a Christian all these years. Is this a bad sign?
